RECOVERY
Voices of Recovery is an inclusive organization with no requirement for abstinence.
We recognize that people who use substances have different goals regarding their use:
-
Some aim for complete abstinence.
-
Some seek to reduce their use.
-
Some prioritize using more safely.
-
Some prefer no change in their use.
An individual's goals may evolve over time. Regardless of these goals, everyone deserves compassion, access to quality treatment, and their experiences with the healthcare system are valuable and informative.
All voices are welcome and needed. We want perspectives and experiences that are truly representative of ALL OF US.
"A process of change through which individuals
-
improve their health and wellness
-
live self-directed lives
-
and strive to reach their full potential."
- SAMHSA
